CT100 – Keyboarding
Develop great speed and excellent typing skills with this fun and useful course.  This course will teach you finger positioning, speed, coordination and effective typing techniques.  The course is taught using Typing Tutors, Word Processors and a great variety of data entry business applications where fast typing is required. 

CT101a – Introduction to Computers
This course provides beginners with fundamental knowledge on using a computer.  This course will teach you Microsoft Windows XP®, Typing, The Internet, fundamental and basic computer concepts, to manage your digital photos, video, music, games and word processor.  In addition, learn how to troubleshoot and maintain you computer.  Everyone is welcome! 

CT101b – Digital Life
This course provides beginners a continuation of fundamental concepts by adding a focus on the Internet and its components, multimedia and social networking. In addition, this course teaches the use of personal technology around the house, such as smart phones, digital cameras, mp3 players and portable computers. This course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.  Everyone is welcome! 

CT102a – Microsoft Word 2007®
Learn to use the most popular word processor in the market today.  This course will teach you Microsoft Word 2007®.  You will learn to create documents such as letters, flyers, faxes, memos, reports, resumes, forms, tables, mail merge, brochures and much more.  Learn to use the most important tools to make professional documents. 

CT102b—Microsoft Excel 2007®
Learn Microsoft Excel® and organize your finances better.  This course will teach you Microsoft Excel 2007®.  You will learn to create reports, lists, inventories, and databases using the most important tools in this popular and easy-to-use application.  Learn to use formulas, graphics to obtain quick answers and analyze your data better.  This is a must know program for everyone! 

CT102c—Microsoft PowerPoint & Publisher 2007®
This course teaches the most popular graphic design applications in the market today: The course teaches how to use these powerful applications to create business presentations, graphic design projects such as calendars, flyers, brochures, signs, business cards and more.  In addition, the course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.   This is a must know program for everyone! 

CT102d—Microsoft Access 2007®
This course introduces the world of data organization with Microsoft Access 2007®.  This course teaches the process to plan, design, create and implement computer databases.  The course focuses on databases to manage customers, vendors, products in any industry and market.  Students will learn how to create tables, queries, forms and reports and design useful and time-saving applications.  The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English. CT103 – Intuit QuickBooks Pro ®
Learn this popular and easy-to-use application to manage your personal or business finances.  This course will teach you how to manage your bank accounts, credit cards, income and expenses, vendors, customers, employees, inventory and payroll.  Create reports to analyze your income and expenses, budgets and more!  Prepare business documents such as checks, estimates, invoices, sales receipts, purchase orders and more.  Make the preparation of your income tax return easier with income and expense reports.

CT104a – Adobe Photoshop CS3®
This course teaches the most popular digital photo editor today: Adobe Photoshop CS3®.  The course teaches how to use this powerful application to edit photos: contrast, brightness, color balance, levels, layers, layer effects and styles, brushes, selection tools, filters and special effects, Web photos and animations among other,   In addition, the course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.   Combine these tools to create amazing projects to present ideas, sales or promote your business. 

CT104b –Adobe Dreamweaver CS3®
Learn to design web pages and become part of the world of the Internet.  This course will teach you to use The Internet, and its different components, E-mail, Chat, FTP, Protocols, and Search Engines.  In addition, you will learn to plan, design, create, publish and maintain your own personal or business web site.  Learn HTML, and Dreamveaver CS3® to create attractive and functional web pages. 

CT105a – Computer Repair I (Hardware)
This course teaches how to repair and troubleshoot personal and portable computers.  This course focuses on the computer hardware and its organization.  Students learn about key components such as the case, motherboard, CPU, memory, disk drives, expansion adapter cards and general peripherals.  The class offers an academic and hands-on experience that help students understand the general organization of a personal computer.  The goal of the class is to help students troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade computers.  The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT105b – Computer Repair II (Software)
This is continuation of the previous Computer Repair course (Hardware). This course teaches the use, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of operating systems.  The class focuses on Microsoft Windows XP® , VISTA® & 7®.  Students learn about components such as the Control Panel, My Computer, System Tools, Computer Management, and System Utilities among others. In addition, the class covers system security, data protection and backups, remote control assistance and support, updates and upgrades.  The main goal of the class is to help students troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade computers and their operating systems.  The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT105c – Computer Repair III (Networks)
This is continuation of the two previous Computer Repair courses (Hardware & Software).  This course teaches the use, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computer networks.  The class focuses on Microsoft Windows XP®, VISTA® , & 7®, local area networks in addition to wide area networks.  Students learn about LAN topologies, Network Control Strategies, Network Connectivity devices, Ethernet, Networking Protocols, TCP/IP, Network Transmission Media such as Copper Cabling, Fiber-Optic Cable, Plenum Cable, Wireless Infrared Links, and Wireless RF Links. The course teaches how to install and configure LAN components such as LAN Adapter Cards, Wireless LANs, Switches, Routers, and Firewalls.  Also, students learn how to setup the operating system to work in a network environment using workgroups and domain configurations.  Moreover, the course also teaches Wide Area Network technologies such as the Internet, Internet Access Methods, Network Troubleshooting, and Security. The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT105d – Computer Repair IV (Security)
This is a continuation of the three previous Computer Repair courses (Hardware, Software, & Networks).  This course teaches how to protect data using different techniques and devices. Students learn to perform local backups using network attached devices, and online backups using different online solutions. In addition, the course focuses on data protection, network security, hardware and software based firewalls, office physical security, online threats, virus, malware and grayware, file system protection and permissions, wireless technologies and wireless protection, and security protocols among others. The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT106a – Computer Networking I (Hardware)
This an intensive Computer Networking course that is designed to help student master the world of Local Area Networks and its related technologies.
The topics are divided into two courses to help students learn the use, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computer networks. 

This first course focuses on network hardware, LAN topologies, Network Control Strategies, Network Connectivity devices, Ethernet, Networking Protocols, TCP/IP, Network Transmission Media such as Copper Cabling, Fiber-Optic Cable, Plenum Cable, Wireless Infrared Links, and Wireless RF Links. The course teaches how to install and configure LAN components such as LAN Adapter Cards, Wireless LANs, Switches, Routers, and Firewalls.   The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT106b – Computer Networking II (Software)
This an intensive Computer Networking course that is designed to help student master the world of Local Area Networks and its related technologies.

This second course focuses on Network software and administration, function and application of the OSI model, cabling and network diagrams, rules and network policies, software & hardware monitoring tools, event login and tracking, inventories, different methods and rationales for network performance optimization, physical and logic problems, wireless connectivity problems, command line tools such as Tracert, Ipconfig, Ping, Arp, NSlookup, Netstat, Net, network scanners, WAN technologies, authentication and mitigation techniques. The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT106b – Microsoftt Windows 2008 Server
This course is an introduction to Microsoft Windows 2008 Servers. Students learn to plan, install, configure and setup a server and its roles. The class focuses on the most important components of the server: Domain controller, DNS, DHCP, File and Printer sharing, Active directory, Users and Groups, Access sharing and permissions, Remote connections and Terminal services, Virtualization and Web sharing and services and Data Backup. In addition, students learn to add a server to an existing workgroup or domain network. The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

CT107a – Computer Programming I (Visual C++ .Net)
This course introduces the world of computer programming with one of the most powerful programming languages in the market, C++.  Students learn to write and develop programs that illustrate the different components of Object Oriented Programming.  The course teaches the C++ language, symbols, variables, procedures, functions and classes, loops, conditions, arrays and pointers.  Students learn how programs are made and they learn to create their own basic programs to automate anything they need. The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.  Learn how programs are made and create your own basic programs to automate anything you need. 

CT107b – Computer Programming II (Visual Basic .Net)
This is a continuation of the computer programming I – Visual C++.  This course introduces the world of Microsoft Windows programming with Visual Basic .Net.  Students learn to write and develop graphical user interfaces with forms and controls.  The course focuses on the most common controls used in commercial applications today such as Command Buttons, Pull down Menus, Check Boxes, Text Fields, Control bars, and Browser Objects among others.  Also, the course teaches how to integrate databases into a computer program to store and manipulate data.  The main goal of the course is to explore the .NET Framework and its components.  The course is taught in Spanish, maintaining key words and fundamental concepts in English.

We offer the broadest range of relevant, high quality classes and programs delivered in a patient and caring environment that helps Latinos and immigrants seeking to improve their lives to become confident and independent members of the community. We are located in Chelsea and Cambridge.
